“ We went here yesterday. Had the Parmesan oysters others had the shrimp tacos everything was good ”
“ Came here on a whim and enjoyed the view and the food. We had the crab cakes and the salmon. Both dishes were flavorful and filling. The salmon was cooked perfectly medium well and full of flavor. ”
“ My husband travels extensively for work. Occasionally I get to tag along. After eating at some pretty fabulous restaurants in NY, San Farancisco, Seattle and Madison this was one of our favorite meals. The stunning sunsets over the marsh are amazing. Cocktails are fabulous. Definately the hottest jalepeno margarita I have ever had. Yummy oysters and calamari. The crab cakes were almost all crab meat. The mascarpone soufflé was incredible. The service was delightful. Can't recommend this place enough. Can't wait to come back. ”
“ We were in town for a conference and had a large group. We were seated within 10 minutes of arriving. Our wait staff were at the top of their game tonight. They took care of our drink orders quickly. Once we got a chance to settle in, we ordered several orders of raw oysters and an order of baked oysters. Our waiter Carlos helped us pick a mixed batch of oysters. The Bluffton Blades were our favorite and the house hot sauce was delicious. Several in our group did the Snapper which was one of the specials. My wife and one of our friends split the seafood pasta, and they said it was delicious and enough for two. I had the panko crusted grouper with wild rice and veggies, topped with remoulade sauce. It was fantastic. For dessert my wife and I split the mascarpone soufflé. Maybe one of the top desserts I have had. Our group had such a great time. This place is a 5+ for sure. ”
“ Old Oyster Factory This restaurant always merits a visit during our annual spring and fall sojourn to Hilton Head. Rain, sun, overcast, ... will find our reserved table on an Old Oyster Factory deck; caveat, a covered deck is available. It is the Broad Creek's views of river and marsh which drives our interest. These folks know how to prepare fresh fish to order and for us that means rare to medium rare. We are open to daily specials, and we nearly always order a dozen oysters; maybe blue point, maybe not. Today it is the black grouper that attracts us. Matt, our server is spot on. Absolutely great ambience, service, and dining. ”
“ Started off with happy hour in the bar area . Half price oysters with a nice selection of east coast oysters. Moved for dinner into the main dining area , beautiful views of the river . Had the steak and seafood pasta . All prepared well . Great service and friendly staff . ”
“ Went to Old Oyster Factory tonight for a birthday dinner and it was delicious. The view was to die for watching the sun go down, just spectacular. The food was very delicious and our waiter was extremely personable, lots of fun and was very attentive. Ordered a beet salad, which was just delicious and a regular house salad, which was more than enough for two. We started out with the the crab and artichoke dip which was absolutely delicious, lots of crab. We had one grilled salmon dinner which was spectacular. The butternut squash purée was delicious. We also ordered the braised short rib, very rich and tasty. Ordered a seafood fettuccine dish, lots of fresh seafood in that. All in all our meal were delicious. We would certainly recommend it and I would definitely go back. Place was crowded so I would recommend a reservation. ”
“ After flying fr LA all day, and not eating anything since 5 am at LAX, I was super hungry by the time I arrived at my hotel in Hilton Head (5:30 pm EST). OOF came highly recommended, and the woman at the front desk of the hotel said its good here. They did not steer me wrong! I arrived during HH, and took advantage of special pricing of oysters and peel and eat shrimp. Both were really fresh. Unfortunately, the clams & mussels were overcooked. Lastly, the foregoing dish was negated by the GBD fried seafood platter. Regarding the ambiance, OOF is massive. There is a large dining area, outside tables, a bar where I ate, and I believe an upstairs as well. Customer's attire was very casual. As the address indicates, the property is right on the water in a marshy area. Pete(?), the guy who waited on me at the bar was super cool & attentive. He made sure all my needs were taken care of, and my beer glass was full. If you are into fresh seafood, and excellent service, OOF fits the bill. They will take good care of you. ”
“ Dinner Friday 8/16/24 Party of 2 Kind of hidden, Old Oyster Factory is one of our favorite spots. Convenient for lunch or dinner, date night or casual, this place doesn't disappoint. They can accommodate large groups as well. We've dined as a party of 16 in past visits, we enjoyed 2 seats at the bar as well - always excellent. This specific visit we dined on the patio, enjoying perfect weather and a little bit of live music. Food was outstanding as always. ”
“ Came here with the family for dinner, while on HHI. Great sunset views, excellent service and good food. We split one order of the she crab soup between my husband and I. It was very good and huge! Waiter was nice enough to give us extra bread for that and the crab dip (it was a generous, rich and delicious). Daughter ordered hush puppies, that were also good. I ordered the mahi with the romesco sauce and mashed potatoes (I didn't love the sauce) and asked for the chimi butter instead, liked that better. My husband just had the oysters (half garlic/parmesan and the other had the cheese). He seemed to enjoy the garlic Parmesan better. Daughter ordered the filet mignon with mashed potatoes, off the kids menu and she really enjoyed it. Kudos to James U., he was a great waiter! He was attentive and gave good recommendations. ”
